Vanilla is a spice obtained from orchids of the genus Vanilla Planifolia, cultivated by the Totonac, people who lived on the coast of Mexico. In the 16th century, the region was conquered by the Spaniards who brought vanilla and chocolate to Europe.
With 38% volume of alcohol, it is an excellent condiment to flavor your sweet or grilled preparations, and is also a great addition to the preparation of drinks.
