White Wine DOC Reserva Fonte Cal 2021: Fonte Cal grape variety.

As a result of a partnership with PORVID and technical support from the Ministry of Agriculture and ISA, the only field for the recovery and enhancement of Fonte Cal was installed at Quinta dos Termos. An exclusive variety from Beira Interior, it expresses well the terroir that gave rise to it, with high complexity, balanced acidity and an enthralling freshness.

Denomination: D.O.C. Beira Interior.
Sub-Region: Cova da Beira.
Climate: Mediterranean with some continental influence.
Soils: Litholic, non-humic, granite with a light texture.

Tasting Notes: Citrine color with greenish hints. On the nose, it reveals fruity aromas, with a slight floral reminiscent of Cardo Serrano. Very tasty in the mouth with an elegant acidity and a passionate freshness.

Vinification: Manual harvest into 15 kg boxes. Crushing and total destemming with protection against early oxidation. Clarification in 18 hours. Controlled fermentation between 20ºC and 22ºC. Stage in stainless steel.
